One’s health is very important, sometimes illness arrives accompanied by pain and great torment. Sometimes learning that our loved ones are ill, God forbid, is even harder.

Physical pain causes emotional pain and vice versa, sometimes it seems like a cycle from which it’s impossible to get out.

Sometimes one needs to cope with an uncurable situation, when all the advanced medicine can’t offer a solutaion in extreme cases.

“The righteous one gives a decree and the Holy One Blessed be He keeps it”, with God’s help!

Many have been blessed with healing and salvation thanks to lighting the candle of the righteous, and with God’s help illness can be even prevented when participating in lighting candles for the righteous.

In the book Tzav’ah of the Admor Rabbi Moshe of Kasov he wrote that one of the points of connection to a righteous person after his demise is by lighting the perpetual candle for his soul! And lighting should occur on the tomb itself! Where some soul parts reside (Torah Lishmah, answer 520) and it requires an olive oil candle and a wick (Zohar, 49).
