We all want to succeed in life, each defining success in his or her own way since each has different goals in life, but we all want to succeed in our daily life, in our family life, in work, and of course to find favor and be liked by others.

Finding favor (Nesiat Chen) is a quality by which our acquaintants find us pleasant, and when it exists one can reach the hearts of others and thus achieve great success in everything one does.

We also pray that we find favor in our life and in whatever happens to us, contented with our lot and possessing a deep understanding that everything happens for the best.

Holy Rabbi Nachman says that N is the tool, and CH is wisdom and vitality. Once we succeed in becoming a tool to receive wisdom and vitality, we are immediately liked by others and others are liked by us.

A good Segulah for finding favor and success is by participating in the lighting of candles for the righteous.

The main content is the perpetual candle as it is written by Rabbeinu Bachya: “It is known that the soul enjoys the lighting of the candles and it walks in the refinements of majesty and joy, and spreads and expands out of the pleasure of the light because it is a piece of light carved in the light of the mind, and for this reason it is drawn to the light that he appointed even though it is a physical light and the soul is a spiritual light” (Rabbeinu Bachya Exodus 25, 31).
